Some of my earliest childhood memories take place in our family kitchen, where the air was filled with the aroma of freshly made pierogi and the warmth of family tradition. I was just seven years old when my dad first introduced me to our family's pierogi recipe, and little did I know then that those weekend cooking marathons would plant the seeds for what would become Poppy Ski's Pierogi.
Making pierogi was always a family affair in our house. These holiday cooking sessions transformed our kitchen into a well-orchestrated production line: Dad methodically rolling and cutting perfect circles of dough, me eagerly stuffing the fillings (and, I'll admit, sneaking quite a few tastes along the way), my brother carefully sealing each one, my sister adding the distinctive fork marks, and Mom manning the boiling pot. Every flat surface in our home became precious real estate as we lad out dozens of freshly made pierogi.
As the years passed, many things changed, but two elements remained constant: my Dad and me, and our shared passion for these beloved Polish dumplings. Since those early days in our family kitchen, I harbored a dream of sharing our pierogi with the world. That dream has finally become a reality with Poppy Ski's Pierogi.
Our business is more than a food company - it's a living tribute to my family's heritage and traditions, and especially, to my Dad, who first placed that ball of dough in my small hands all those years ago.
